With the uncertainty that continues with our societies' fight against COVID-19, one thing is certain, we have an amazing and innovative staff that is bringing new ideas to the table to deliver continued services to the people we support. The services may look different than they did a few weeks ago, but we are still moving forward and continuing to help people live their greatest lives!
We wanted to share with all of you on how each of the programs are pivoting during this time and the innovation that some are now utilizing. Here are updates from the different programs.
Case Management- The case management team has been doing phone check-ins with persons served or their families to see how they are doing during this difficult time. They have also designed an email for each county that they are sending anyone they serve that they have emails for with an uplifting message, updated information, and links to various resources for them. It is an additional way people can get contact with Accord and feel supported.
Home Health- Home health is prioritizing essential visits to ensure people are getting the service and support they need. They are doing phone screens before each visit and are starting to provide televisits for people who do not require an in-person visit at this time.
Family and Community Supports- The majority of supports are being provided remotely at this time. Some individuals in Community and Housing Supports just need our staff to deliver essential items and food. We are also making sure that individuals who do not have anyone else in their life continue to get support from us.
Employment- Due to the COVID-19 we've had to shift our direction with this program. We are currently not taking any referrals at this time. Statement regarding Employment Services - Employment Program Update Accord COVID-19 Waiver

Metro AFC’s- We continue to staff the AFCs and provide support to the individuals that live there. Staff are being creative with activities in the homes and doing their best to keep residents engaged and active, while being cautions of social distancing measures and potential exposure for persons served. Staff are working additional hours to ensure shifts are filled.
North Programs- Many of the individuals who live in our Northern AFCs are now home during the day due to the day program being closed. They are determining the essential visits for people in community supports to make sure they stay healthy and safe and not isolate themselves.
