Technology Implemented in Accord’s Adult Foster Care Homes to Combat Isolation
With the help of generous donations from the community, Accord was able to purchase several tablets for our Adult Foster Care homes! This equipment will be distributed throughout our different houses in the Twin Cities area so the people we support in those homes can have access to them.
These individuals are especially at risk for feeling isolated and lonely during social distancing. These tablets will allow them to connect with friends and family, whether it be through a simple video chat, virtually watching a show or movie with someone online, or playing a game online with another person.
These tablets will help the people we serve feel less isolated and help them connect to others during this difficult time. Each piece of technology will have Advocacy Courses online and other activities to help keep individuals connected to our community.
Thank you again to all of those who donated to this important cause!
