Victoria Secret Finally Features Model With Down Syndrome
Breaking barriers! 24-year old Puerto Rican Sofia Jirau is the first model with down syndrome to be featured by Victoria Secret, marking a long-overdue milestone for the beauty and fashion industry.
“One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true,” Jirau wrote in Spanish in a celebratory Instagram announcement.
Jirau will be a part of the brand’s Love Cloud Collection, an inclusive campaign featuring models who reject limits placed on them by others.
“On the inside and out, there are no limits,” said Jirau.
