Volunteers Needed for 2020 Greatest Lives Gala

 

On March 28, 2020, Accord™ will be hosting its first annual Greatest Lives Gala at the Marriott Northwest Ballroom in Brooklyn Park. This event is to celebrate the merger with ALLY People Solutions, as well as the launch of our new brand and name!

We are looking for Volunteer Gala Committee Members to help the Development Department in planning the Gala. The committee is a 5-month commitment.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in soliciting in-kind donations

• Help in assembling the mailing pieces for in-kind solicitation

• Be willing to take on a short list of businesses to call (only once they have been mailed the materials)

• Help the Advancement team prepare the basket items for display at event

• Help assemble the auction at the event (many hands make light work)

• Attend the event and assist the Development Assistant in any way as needs arise

• Be advocates for the organization and help advertise the gala – not necessarily selling tickets, but by promoting the event across all social media platforms, telling your friends/neighbors, and just engaging the general public on what is it we do at Accord™

The plan is to meet once a month on the 2nd Thursday, November to December, then increase to every other week in January and leading up to the event in March. Meetings would be no longer than an hour – find the dates below. (All meetings will be held at the main Administrative Office located in NE Minneapolis)

There will be the option to call in and teleconference the meeting if needed.

DATES: November 14th | December 12th | January 9th, 2020 | January 23rd | February 6th | February 20th | March 12th | March 26th | March 28th (Gala)

Qualifications:

Must be able to attend 90% of all meetings, have a good work ethic, be willing to make solicitations on behalf of Accord™ via its network of connections and the possibility of yours as well, strong phone communication is preferred, and have an upbeat, fun attitude.

Any prior event volunteer experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Must be able to attend the event on March 28, 2020.
